Lewises Celebrate 50th

Carl Lee and Bonnie Joan Lewis of Barnesville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 24.

They were united in marriage July 24, 1960 at East Main Street Church of Christ, Barnesville, by James Gallagher.

Bonnie Lewis is the daughter of Rozil Johnson and Ruth Ann Wright Hudson. She is retired after 25 years of service with Barnesville Exempted Village School District as a helper in the kindergarten classes.

Lewis is the son of the late Henry Carl and Burdella McConnell Lewis. He is retired after 47 years as a brick mason (30 years of which he was self- employed). He still helps with construction jobs from time to time.

They are members of West Main Street Church of Christ.

They are the parents of four children. The family includes Jita Knox and her husband, Bill, of Barnesville; Jeff and his wife, Kim, of Barnesville; Kevin and his wife, Julie, of Findlay and Carlene Davis and her husband, Bill, of Columbus. They have nine grandchildren.

An open house was held in their honor at the library annex building in Barnesville Saturday, July 24.
