Bradcoviches Mark 67th

John and Mary Bradcovich of Mount Olivet will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Aug. 9.

They were united in marriage Aug. 9, 1944 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Benwood.

Mary Takach Bradcovich is the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Filo Takach of Benwood. She worked for Marsh Wheeling Stogies during World War II, before working in the home rearing their children.

Bradcovich is the son of the late Fabian and Anna Pogicic Bradcovich of Mount Olivet. He is a retired employee of Tower Lines Inc. and a decorated veteran of World War II.

Since retirement, they have spent many years volunteering at Good Shepherd Nursing Home and various social organizations, including the Croatian Cultural Club of Benwood.

Together, they have three children. The family includes Ron of Wheeling: Marlene Montes and her husband, Mel, of Benwood and Janet Schultz and her husband, Chuck, of Wheeling. They have five grandchildren and twin great-grandchildren.

A family celebration will be held in their honor.
