Costines Mark 50 Years

Tom and Connie Costine of St. Clairsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Oct. 14.

They were united in marriage Oct. 14,1961 at Thoburn United Methodist Church, St. Clairsville, by the Rev. Orville Wilson.

Connie Costine is the daughter of the late Robert and Arlene Harris of St. Clairsville. She owned and operated Dipper Dan Ice Cream at the Ohio Valley Mall, then worked for St. Clairsville Public Library for many years.

Costine is the son of John E. and Jessie Costine of St. Clairsville. He owned and operated Costine’s Sohio in Morristown for 32 years. He has been a Richland Township trustee for 37 years. A superintendent at the Ohio Department of Transportation for five years, he retired in 1996.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Molly Mercurio and her husband, Jon, of Pittsburgh; Kelly Wohnhas and her husband, Tim, of Follansbee and Chris Costine of Worthington, Ohio. They have five grandchildren.

They celebrated the occasion with family and friends on their anniversary.
