Noltes Celebrate Golden

Donald and Sondra Nolte of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Tuesday, March 6.

They were united in marriage March 6, 1962 at Elm Grove United Methodist Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. William Woods officiating. The bride’s brother, the late Harry Morgan Jr., and his wife, Ginny, were the witnesses. The newlyweds resided in Bellaire for several years before making Wheeling their permanent residence.

Sondra Nolte is the daughter of Ethel Morgan and the late Harry Morgan. She continues to enjoy child-rearing by babysitting daily.

Nolte is the son of the late Wilber and Christine Nolte. He is a retired carpet installer.

They have four children. The family includes David and his wife, Chris, of St. Clairsville; Jeffrey of Wheeling; Diane Bennett and her husband, Rob, of Wheeling and Douglas of Wheeling. They have seven grandchildren.

Their family honored them Friday, March 9, with an intimate dinner with the entire Nolte family in attendance.
