Jaquays Celebrate 50th

Jack and Faye Jaquay of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, April 8.

They were united in marriage April 8, 1962 at Franklin United Methodist Church, Wellsburg, by the late Rev. Jacob Schrader.

Faye Jaquay is the daughter of the late August and Della Nolte of Follansbee. She worked at C&P Telephone Co., Christ United Methodist Church and Kings Daughters Child Care Center. Currently, she is selling Avon with 41 years of service.

Jaquay is the son of the late Gordon and Anna Jaquay of Wheeling. He is a retired postal carrier with 40 years of service at the Wheeling Post Office. He also worked for the Wheeling Police Department for five years and at Wheeling Downs.

They are the parents of two children. The family includes a daughter, Tina Markey, and her husband, David, of Aliquippa, Pa., and a son, Paul, of Wheeling. They have a granddaughter and a deceased grandson.

A family dinner was held in their honor.
