Frohmes Celebrate 50th

Robert William and Mary Frohme of Wheeling celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday, June 9.

They were united in marriage June 9, 1962 by the Rev. Donald Rogan and the late Rev. David Bane at the former St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wheeling.

Mary Frohme is the daughter of the late Russell L. and Jessie Mayne of Wheeling. She is a retired registered nurse from Ohio Valley Medical Center.

Frohme is the son of the late Robert Edward and Gladys Frohme of Wheeling. He is an Army veteran and is retired from the former Imperial Glass in Bellaire.

They are active in the local Masonic and Eastern Star chapters, and are longstanding members of Lawrencefield (Episcopal) Parish Church, Wheeling. They enjoy family and travel.

The Frohmes are parents of two children. The family includes Lisa Martin and her husband, Shawn, of Colerain and Scott Frohme of Baltimore, Md. They have five grandchildren.

They were surprised with a garden party celebration in honor of their 50th anniversary Saturday, June 2. The event was hosted by their children and their spouses. Many out-of-town family and friends were in attendance along with friends from the couple’s church.

Mr. and Mrs. Frohme will continue celebrations aboard an August cruise.
