Neuharts Mark 65 Years
Richard and Esther Neuhart of Bethesda will observe their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 7.
They were united in marriage June 7, 1947 at the bride’s home on Belmont-Morristown Road by the Rev J.W.L. Deem, pastor at Morristown Methodist Church.
Esther Neuhart is the daughter of the late Dewey and Josephine Bond. After graduation from Muskingum College, she taught home economics at New Concord High School, Bellville High School and Belmont High School.
Neuhart is the son of the late Emmett and Agnes Neuhart of Belmont. He entered the Army after high school graduation and served with the 65th Infantry Division under Gen. George S. Patton in Europe during World War II. He then graduated from Muskingum College, taught at Bellville School, was principal at Morristown Elementary School and taught at Barnesville Junior High School.
They established a home improvement business, Neuhart Aluminum Inc., which they operated for over 20 years until their retirement.
They are the parents of three children. The family includes Dianne, who is deceased; Valerie Mena of Crystal Lake, Ill., and John and his wife, Sarah, of Avon, Ind. They have five grandchildren.
