Warbles Mark 50 Years

Ron and Patti Warble of Sherrard, formerly of McMechen, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, May 4.

They were united in marriage May 4, 1963 at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Daly officiating the ceremony.

Patti Warble is the daughter of the late Iggie and Mary Hodulik. She graduated from Bishop Donahue High School and was the school’s first homecoming queen. She is a retired certified nursing assistant and is retired from the Wheeling Park Commission.

Warble is the son of the late Mike and Nellie Warble. He is a graduate of Union High School and is retired from Consolidated Coal’s Shoemaker mine.

They are the parents of two children. The family includes a son, Ron II, and his wife, Amy, of Benwood; a daughter, Dawn Warble-Donofe, of Mount Olivet and a son-in-law, Chris Donofe, of Weirton. They have eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and two step-great-grandchildren.

A family dinner will be held at a later date.
