Kidders Mark 50 Years

Bill and Judy Kidder of East Liverpool celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 15.

They were united in marriage June 15, 1963, at Ohltown Methodist Church, Austintown, Ohio. They met at Baldwin Wallace College where they both attended.

Mrs. Kidder, the former Judith Erickson, is the daughter of Donald and Helen Dieter. She is employed as a grief counselor at Dawson Funeral Home and is active in the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Church activities.

Kidder is son of Marcella and William Kidder Sr. He is retired from the Columbiana County engineer’s department.

They are the parents of a daughter and two sons. The family includes Laura Swain and her husband, Steven, of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; Dean and his wife, Ruth, of East Liverpool and Michael and his wife, Nancy, of East Liverpool. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday, June 15, with a small family gathering and a picnic-style meal held at the Kidder residence. An anniversary cake with the original bride and groom cake topper was the dessert. They shared with the family several items from their wedding day that included pictures, newspaper articles, announcements, invitations and reception napkins.
