Ulloms Mark 50 Years
Robert J. and Beverly L. Waide Ullom of Shadyside celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 8.
They were united in marriage June 8, 1963 at First United Methodist Church, Martins Ferry.
Bev Ullom is a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and holds a degree in radiology technology. She is retired from Shadyside Clinic.
Ullom is a graduate of Bridgeport High School. He is an Army veteran and is retired from Ohio Edison.
After a military stint in Oklahoma, they lived briefly in Columbus and Bridgeport before moving to Shadyside in 1967. Their activities have included Ohio Eastern Star, Women’s Club, Ladies Civic Club, Jaycees, Osiris Shrine Temple and Masonic Lodge. Bev Ullom retired after 25 years as choir director of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church, where they have been active members for over 40 years.
The have two daughters. The family includes Dana Ullom-Vucelich and her husband, Sam Vucelich Jr., of Columbus and Deborah Mullin of Columbus. They have three grandchildren.
Friends are encouraged to join the family for a cake celebration in the downstairs fellowship hall of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16.
