Bakers Celebrate 70th

Richard “Dick” and Jacqueline “Jackie” Morris Baker of Bethlehem will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 30, 1947, at the home of their minister, the Rev. Knoll of St. Paul’s Church in Wheeling.

Jackie Baker is the daughter of the late Stanley and Gwendolyn Morris. She retired from the former Tri-State Credit and worked for many years at the former Penn-WV Supply Co.

Dick Baker is the son of the late Harley and Amy Baker. He is a World War II veteran and a retired salesman from Value City, Montgomery Ward and ICS Correspondence Schools.

They are the parents of two daughters. The family includes Debbie and Rick Appenzeller and Barbara Reass. They have four granchildren and two great-grandchildren.
