Peytons Mark 60th

Ed and Jewel Peyton

Ed and Jewel Peyton of Wheeling celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 20.

They were united in marriage at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wheeling, on Sept. 20, 1958 by the Rev. Stanley Stiver.

Their parents are the late James and Mildred Peyton and Margaretha Johnson.

Jewel Peyton was the secretary for the family business.

Ed Peyton was stationed in France, driving for Red Ball Trucking Co., while in the Army. He worked at the Esso station, then owned the Exxon and Marathon gas-service station in the Edgwood section of Wheeling.

They are the parents of Cindy (Jim) Peyton Bly of Pittsburgh; Paul Peyton of Garden City, South Carolina, and Christine Peyton (deceased). They have three grandchildren.
