The second concert of the Showcase 2014 summer series will take place at Community Arts Place in Barnesville at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26. The New Silver Eagle Band from Weirton will perform a variety of music including country, rock and doo-wop songs.

As always, poetry will be in the printed programs. The writings of Georgia M. Gallagher of Barnesville will be featured. She is inspired by everyday happenings and has been an influence for other family members to write.

Starting at 6:15 p.m., the concert committee will offer a doll show. The display will include ceramic dolls, rag dolls, G.I. Joe figures, Barbie and Ken.

A food stand will be open during the evening. Those coming to the programs should bring lawn chairs. In case of rain, events will be moved to the Little Rocks Learning Center (former grange hall) on Shamrock Drive. Donations are accepted.
