Claudia Adele Palmer of Bethlehem received a Bachelor of Science in journalism with a minor in communication studies and graduated summa cum laude from the West Virginia University Reed College of Media. She maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her four years at WVU.

At the Reed College of Media annual spring honors ceremony, she earned Latin Honors and the Top Scholar Award for her 4.0 GPA. She also was one of five chosen for the Outstanding Senior Award in Strategic Communications.

Earlier in the spring at the Alpha Phi Senior Luncheon, she received the Blue and Gold Award for the Beta Iota member who best represents outstanding participation and leadership in WVU campus organizations and activities.

Palmer traveled to Manchester, England, over spring break to give a group presentation to Destination Florida, where her agency won.

Palmer also was an active member of the Martin Hall Agency and the Alpha Phi Sorority, was a teaching assistant and worked in the computer lab on campus.

This summer, she is living in New York City while working a paid internship at the Bloc Advertising Agency in Manhattan.

She is the daughter of Bob and Karen Palmer and a graduate of The Linsly School.
