Collegiate Alumnae is an independent group of women whose goal is to encourage and assist young women to attend college in West Virginia.

The idea began in 1908 when a few college women realized they could help young women attend college by granting loans. That process over the past 100 years has evolved into the awarding of scholarships. The group continues to advance the cause of education, promoting fraternal relations among college women and providing financial scholarships to women attending West Liberty University and West Virginia Northern Community College.

The dues for membership are used toward scholarships. Members can attend any of the meetings. There is no fundraising.

Anyone interested in attending and who has at least two years of higher education may contact Marlene Ingram at 304-780-4800. Meeting reservations are required.
