ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The members of the Belmont County Medical Society held their Charity Halloween Party on Oct. 19 at Belmont Hills Country Club. Money was raised to benefit the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

The event was organized by Dr. Naba Goswami, society president, and Dr. Rene Dela Cruz. Patrons auctioned items, bought raffle tickets and made donations to benefit the American Red Cross’ efforts in Texas, Florida and other areas devastated by the storms.

“It was an evening filled with fun, with great food, very good spirits and superb musical entertainment. Everybody opened up their hearts and wallets,” Goswami said.

Dr. Sanjay Chaudhry and his wife, Ranjana, won the prize for best costumes.

Additional donations will be accepted until Dec. 15. To donate, call Goswami at 740-695-2609, Dela Cruz at 740-633-6332 or Dr. Joe Glorioso, 740-699-2734.
