Woman’s Club Kicks Off Year With Membership Tea
WHEELING — The Woman’s Club of Wheeling will begin the 2018-2019 club year with the annual Membership Tea at 1 p.m. Friday at Monument Place in Elm Grove.
The Woman’s Club of Wheeling meets the first and third Fridays in October, November, December, February, March and April. In addition to being a community service organization, the club offers a wide variety of programs to its members. The club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. New members are accepted throughout the year, and membership is open to any woman living within 50 miles of Wheeling.

Oct. 5 — President’s Program: the Motown sounds of Touch
Oct. 19–Jo Ann Peterson, portrayal of Shirley Temple Black; arts and crafts judging
Nov. 2 –American Pride, a tribute to the Statler Brothers
Nov. 9 — Style Show by Macy’s, at Wheeling Country Club
Nov. 16 — Roger Pickenpaugh, “Carpathia: A Biography of the Titanic’s Rescue Ship”
Dec. 7 –Thursday Music Club, women’s choral group
Dec. 14 — Christmas Luncheon, One-A-Chord a capella quartet
Feb. 1 — Great Scott Band
Feb. 15 — Ron Retzer Trio
March 1 — The Marlins
March 15 –Ted Dudra, Civil War historian
April 12 –Betsy Bethel-McFarland, Bagpiper
April 26 –Michael Sonata, Frank Sinatra Tribute
