WVNCC to Host Holiday Concert in the Courtyard

WHEELING – West Virginia Northern Community College, 1704 Market St. will host a holiday “Concert in the Courtyard” from noon-12:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 on their Wheeling Campus in the courtyard in front of the B&O Building.

WVNCC student and local musician, Matt VanFossen, will be performing holiday songs. The event is free and open to the public. The “Concert in the Courtyard” also will include a food truck, free hot chocolate and WVNCC is asking anyone attending to bring donations for the YSS Winter Freeze Shelter.

VanFossen, a first year business major student at WVNCC, is a country music artist and performs in the tri-state area of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. He has performed at Jamboree In The Hills, has had two top-hit singles, and opened for several well-known artists such as Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Neal McCoy and many more. VanFossen’s latest album, “Wheeling, WV 1984,” was just released last year.

The event, which is sponsored by WVNCC’s Student Activities, will feature local food trunk, Ideal Provisions.

West Virginia Northern Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college offering transfer degrees and programs in the Liberal Arts, Career-Technical and Community and Continuing Education on three campuses in the Northern Panhandle.
