Classic Classicals to Entertain Thursday Music Club at Stifel
WHEELING — The Thursday Music Club will hold a luncheon meeting at Oglebay Institute’s Stifel Fine Arts Center, 1330 National Road, at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Classic Classicals of West Liberty University, under the direction Linda Cowan and Angela Day, will entertain the club. Sponsors for this entertainment are Geri Sloane and Kathryn Wallington.
Students of the West Liberty University Voice Studio will perform classical favorites, including opera arias, art songs, duets and standards from the musical theater and jazz worlds.
Students involved are Maria Keane, Glory Dami, Hayden Heiserman, Maddie LaFollette, J.J. Snider, Patricia Loy, Zach Ziolkowski and the club’s current Gretchen McKee vocal scholarship winner, Lindsay Six. They will be accompanied by Deborah Breiding.
Club president Geri Sloane will conduct a short business meeting and hear reports from secretary Arlene Lawson and treasurer Carol Couch.
