Discover Recovery In A Judgment Free Zone

WHEELING — The Community Impact Coalition along with partners, the City of Wheeling and the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley, are hosting Discover Recovery from 3-7 p.m. May 22 at WesBanco Arena for those with addiction and/or their families.

Individuals with drug dependency often need services long before they are “ready” or “willing” to accept help. Discover Recovery’s purpose is to provide advance resources and the opportunity to pre-plan for a person with addiction. The full spectrum of help will be offered from detox, to treatment and through recovery.

Resources will be available to address potential barriers that can deter a person from entering treatment. Help and support resources for family and friends of those struggling also will be on site. Faith organizations will be on hand. Open Naloxone trainings will be offered at 3:30-5:30 p.m. from the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department. Naloxone will be distributed to those who take the training. It’s a judgment free zone with substance abuse help, resources and information.
