Great Music Takes Over New Martinsville This Weekend at the 2nd Annual Back Home Appalachian Music & Arts Festival
NEW MARTINSVILLE –The Second Annual Back Home Appalachian Arts & Music Festival begins today in downtown New Martinsville and runs until Sunday night.
The 2018 Back Home Festival features a who’s who of Appalachian musicians, including The Del McCoury Band, David Grisman, The SteelDrivers, Billy Strings, Abby The Spoon Lady and many more.
There will be continuous music from 6-11 p.m. today, 1:45-11 p.m. on Saturday and 2-9:30 p.m. on Sunday on Main Street with two main stages. The festivities conclude on Sunday night with a fireworks celebration.
In addition to the music, there will be world-class Appalachian artisans and a variety of food vendors. There will also be workshops throughout the weekend and children’s activities.
Admission to the festival is free. The Wetzel County Convention & Visitors Bureau sponsors the festival.
