WHEELING — The 2018 Mountaineer Brewfest Committee is pleased to announce that the title sponsor for the fifth annual Mountaineer Brewfest will again be Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack. This year’s festival is Saturday and will be held at the Heritage Port in Wheeling.

Brewfest founder Jeff Hayes stated, “As we enter into our fifth year, we take a moment to reflect on the efforts it took by many to get this event off the ground in 2014, the growth of our festival to date, and the good in the community we have been able to accomplish by donating over $50,000 in four years to local charities through festival proceeds and efforts of the Circus Saints and Sinners. The Mountaineer Brewfest Committee will be announcing the selection of the 2018 sponsored charity in early June. “

“When we approached Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack with the idea of becoming the title sponsor early in our 2014 festival planning, their leadership was excited for the opportunity to come aboard for this new adventure. We are thrilled to have our partnership continue in 2018, and we want to thank president and general manager Kim Florence, senior director of marketing Carrie Scanlon, regional manager Osi Imomoh, and their teams. Their willingness to support this event has been instrumental in our ability to sustain the Mountaineer Brewfest as one of the premier festivals here in Wheeling and in the state,” Hayes continued.

“This is our fifth year as a sponsor of the Mountaineer Brewfest,” Florence added. “We continue to support this outstanding regional event because it consistently provides an incredible opportunity for our community to experience not just a diverse variety of some of the most exceptional craft beers in West Virginia, but also gives our culinary team a chance to shine with exceptional pairings and tastings. Brewfest gets better every single year. The attendees love the atmosphere and we are honored to be a part of its success.”

The Brewfest would also like to thank and acknowledge the following sponsors for their commitment to this year’s festival:
