St. C. Singers to Perform At Spaghetti Dinner Wednesday
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Come out for a hot meal and a cool show this Wednesday night as the St. C. Singers present their annual winter spaghetti dinner.
One of the Singers’ biggest annual fundraisers –the winter spaghetti dinner will take place from 4-8 p.m. this Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the cafetorium of the St. Clairsville City Schools’ main campus. The event not only raises funds that allow the group to participate in show choir competitions throughout the region, but also gives the local community a chance to get a glimpse of this year’s award-winning show, “Shadows Into the Light.”
This is the only opportunity the local community has to see the St. C. Singers perform their full-production competition show on home turf in St. Clairsville, as all of their other performances take place on the road at venues that are typically at least two hours away.
A full slate of entertainment will be offered during the spaghetti dinner, including performances by the St. C. Singers at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. St. Clairsville High School’s vocal group Sweet Harmony will also perform at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Dine-in and carryout meals will be available.
The St. C. Singers’ 2018-19 show choir season has taken them to competitions at Alliance High School in Ohio and Hurricane High School in West Virginia so far this year. The group has brought home trophies for first place in their class at both competitions and overall third and fourth runner-up, respectively, in finals competitions among larger schools, as well as caption awards for best band and people’s choice. The group will travel to Grafton High School in Grafton, W.Va., this Saturday for the Grafton-Tygart Dam Choral Classic; to South Harrison High School in Lost Creek, W.Va., on Feb. 16 for the South Harrison Showcase; to Buckeye Local High School in Rayland, Ohio, on Feb. 23, when they host the 2019 St. C. Division III Show Choir Invitational; to Cabell Midland High School in Ona, W.Va., on March 2 for the Cabell Midland Rhythm in Red Invitational; and finally to the College of Staten Island for the Big Apple Classic on March 16 during their spring trip to New York City.
Tickets to Wednesday’s spaghetti dinner can be purchased in advance from any member of the St. C. Singers, and tickets also will be available at the door.
