Werk Out Music & Arts Festival Returns

THORNVILLE, Ohio – The Werk Out Music & Arts Festival returns to eastern Ohio this Thursday, featuring three nights of music from host band The Werks and two nights of Papadosio, with special guests Emancipator, Crizzly and many more artists on three stages at Legend Valley.

Creating their own “Psychedelic Dance Rock,” The Werks fuses shredding guitar with the screaming organ of jam and classic rock, the slap bass of funk and the more modern sounds of synthesizers and dance beats.

Melding progressive rock with psychedelia, folk with electronica, and dance music with jam, Papadosio has amassed a dedicated following of thousands of likeminded individuals sowing the seeds of unity and spreading the sounds of exaltation.

Known for its etheric melodies, immaculately smooth samples, and addictive drum beats, Emancipator’s music has captivated a diverse audience across the globe.

Channeling hyperactive energy and uncontainable swagger, Crizzly and producer ignites crowds with an intoxicating, infectious, and inimitable blend of dubstep and hip-hop, which he affectionately terms, “Crunkstep.”

This year’s Werk Out features performances from more than 35 bands, including sets by This Must Be The Band (a tribute to Talking Heads), DJ no DJ (a live band tribute to Daft Punk), two nights of bluegrass with Rumpke Mountain Boys, organized improvosation featuring artists from various bands in the Everyone Orchestra, and a tribute to Pink Floyd with “Dark Side of the Moon” being performed in its entirety by members of The Werks, Papadosio and Dopapod.

Formerly known as Buckeye Lake Music Center, Legend Valley is located off Interstate 70 exit 132, just 20 minutes east of Columbus. The sprawling festival grounds of Legend Valley have played host to some of Ohio’s most memorable live performances of the past five decades including half a dozen Grateful Dead concerts as well as tour stops from Lollapalooza, AC/DC, WOMAD, The Allman Brothers Band, and numerous other large events.

General admission festival passes and VIP packages are available now. VIP packages include official VIP-access laminate, VIP-only showers, VIP-only bathrooms, VIP-only concert viewing area and more.
