Tales From the Dark Side at Library

True tales from West Virginia’s dark side take center stage at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library.

Veteran storyteller Jo Ann Dadisman will present “Murder, Mayhem & Mystery!” — sharing some of West Virginia’s more spirited history and heritage.

The program is for adults and older children.

A retired educator and active storyteller, Dadisman has been sharing stories about her beloved mountains for more than 40 years. For nearly two decades, she was part of the storytelling duo Mountain Echoes, performing with fellow West Virginian June Riffle, and promoting the culture and heritage of Appalachia, especially in West Virginia.

These days, she is a solo teller who offers workshops that weave memories and imagination through both oral and written traditions.

Sponsorship for this free event is provided by the Robert Baker family.
