Elaine Marie Castilow and Jeffrey Curtis Hamarstrom were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with Lucas Kuhlmann, chaplain, officiating the outdoor ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Debra Leonard of Bridgeport and William Castilow of Wheeling.
Parents of the groom are Jeff and Shirley Hamarstrom of Burlington, Iowa.
Cindy Potratz was matron of honor. Michael Hamarstrom served as best man.
Other attendants were Jessica Hartz, Angela Markham, Craig Lemon, Aaron Fabel, Stuart Selis, Jason Baxter and Ethan Kerns.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Bridgeport High School, a 2004 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology and a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa with a doctorate in immunology. She is a medical writer.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Burlington High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in geoscience. He will complete a master’s degree in landscape architecture this fall.
The couple took a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
