Sarah Lynn Swoger and Robert Norman Bonar were united in marriage on Sept. 26 at The Experience Church in Bridgeport, with Tim Seidler officiating. The bride is the daughter of Rodney and Sharron Swoger of Wheeling. The groom is the son of John and Erin Bonar of McMechen. Emily Swoger was the maid of honor. Johnny Bonar served as best man. Other attendants included Jessica Cox, Katelyn Sell, Katrina Bonar, Brooke Meeker, Brock Melko, Cory Meeker, Joe Minor and Jake Minor. A reception was held at the McLure Hotel in Wheeling. The bride is a 2007 graduate of John Marshall High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in speech pathology and audiology and a Master of Science degree in speech pathology, both from West Virginia University. She is employed by Marshall County Schools as a speech language pathologist. The groom is also a 2007 graduate of John Marshall High School. He attended West Liberty University, graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Master of Science in sports studies. He is employed by USI Insurance Services LLC and is an assistant women’s basketball coach at West Liberty University. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Glen Dale.
