Maloney To Host Town Hall Meeting

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Maloney will host a town hall meeting Thursday in Wheeling.

The event is set for 6 p.m. at Artworks Around Town, located at 2200 Market St. in Center Wheeling.

The format will be discussion-based, according to Maloney spokesman Kent Sholars. He said Maloney will give a short introduction about who he is, then give an overview of his “Blueprint for a Brighter Future” – his plan for West Virginia. Following the introduction, there will be an open question and answer period.

Attendees will get the opportunity to ask questions or comment on any topic they wish.

Sholars added the meeting will be Maloney’s seventh this election season.

Others have taken place in Bluefield, Charles Town, Huntington, Putnam County, Fairmont and Morgantown. Attendance has ranged from around 40 to about 100, according to Sholars.

“We will be conducting others throughout the state before the election,” he added. “This is a great opportunity to meet Bill Maloney and join him at a town hall discussion. The state is headed in the wrong direction, and we need everyone working together and bringing their best ideas about how we can improve our state. Have your voice heard and let Bill Maloney know how you think West Virginia can do better.”

Maloney attended the Republican National Convention in Tampa last week, where he was tapped to read West Virginia’s delegate count to the gathering.
