Mother Grateful For Care Center
Editor’s Note: The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley is currently conducting its 2012-2013 Campaign, with a goal of $777,777. Examples of how United Way campaign dollars assist area residents are featured below.
A working, low-income mother – a client of the Community Child Care Center, a United Way agency – has written a brief letter explaining what the center’s services mean to her and her family:
“I’m writing on behalf of the Community Child Care Center. I am writing to inform you how the center has helped me and my family. I went through some tough times recently, and Ms. Linda (Edwards) and her staff have been a major help to me. I am a single parent and I work to make a living to support my two children. Even though times got tough, I still had a place to send my children. Without Community Child Care and the funding from United Way, I don’t know what I would do. Thank you Community Child Care and United Way.”
The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley helps 30 area agencies provide services for local residents of all ages.
