Santa’s Shopping Event Coming to Town
Crafts, canines and Father Christmas come together at a special craft fair at the St. Clairsville Eagles on Dec. 8-9 to benefit the Tiffany Dlesk Spay/Neuter Clinic and local animal shelters.
Breanne Wells, who is planning the event alongside her grandmother, Carolyn Hupt, hopes for a good turnout.
“We are going to have 42 tables,” Wells said, noting she felt inspired to start the event because crafting is what she likes to do.
“I always go to craft fairs because I sell jewelry,” said Wells. “I wanted to organize an event to benefit pets, and it will also give everyone a chance to shop for the holidays.”
Among vendors will be Gold Canyon Candles, This and That By Carolyn, These and More, Thirty-One, Tastefully Simple, Purses Sold by Lori and more.
Wells said there will be a raffle table and a 50/50 drawing. Food and drink refreshments will be available.
Special guest Santa Claus will be present for photo opportunities with both children and pets.
Donation jars and boxes will also be set up for those wishing to donate to local animal shelters, while the Marshall County Animal Shelter will be on hand with adoptable pets looking for homes this Christmas.
Hupt said she anticipates a good response to the event.
“We had a lot of people who wanted to come,”said Hupt. “I’m just hoping for a big turnout. We worked really hard to put this together.”
Marshall County Animal Shelter Director Cindy Brautigan expressed her gratitude on behalf of the Tiffany Dlesk Spay/Neuter Clinic and the animal shelter.
“These are just two women who love animals and support the work we do,” Brautigan said, adding that they should be commended for their efforts.
On Dec. 8, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., then noon to 5 p.m. on Dec. 9. The St. Clairsville Eagles building is located at 50690 National Road East.
