Man, 42, Held For Sex With Girl, 15
A Moundsville man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
Michael V. Felgenhauer, 42, of 320 Tenth St., was charged with five counts of sexual assault in the third degree. He is being held at Northern Regional Jail on a $15,000 bond.
According to the criminal complaint against Felgenhauer, officers were informed of a possible relationship between Felgenhauer and a local girl from a woman who claimed the victim was using her daughter’s phone and Facebook to keep in contact with Felgenhauer. The phone was taken into evidence and turned over to the State Police for examination. The woman also alleged the girl was meeting Felgenhauer at a brick apartment on Tenth Street where Felgenhauer was living with a friend.
Police found an entry on Felgenhauer’s Facebook account that stated he and the victim were engaged to be married on April 24, although in the interview with Felgenhauer, he stated the engagement happened Nov. 12. According to the complaint, Felgenhauer confirmed he had a relationship with the girl and said he was not aware of her age. Felgenhauer stated he tried to end the relationship with the victim about a month ago when he learned of her age. The complaint states Felgenhauer admitted to kissing the girl and receiving nude photos of her on his phone.
Police found all texts and pictures from the victim were deleted from Felgenhauer’s phone. A search of Felgenhauer’s Facebook account showed numerous messages between Felgenhauer and the victim about the two “seeing each other and loving each other.” In an interview with the victim, the girl admitted to having a relationship with Felgenhauer, but said she broke it off because she knew it was wrong.
The victim stated Felgenhauer touched her in a sexual manner over her clothing sometime within the past two months at the Tenth Street residence.
Police arrested Felgenhauer and during an interview on station, Felgenhauer admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim about five or six times.
A preliminary hearing has been set for Dec. 9.
