Carenbauer Distributing To Award Scholarships

WHEELING – Carenbauer Distributing Corporation in Wheeling will award two $5,000 scholarships this summer as part of the Folds of Honor campaign.

The Folds of Honor was founded in 2007 by Maj. Dan Rooney, a former F-16 pilot who had three combat tours in Iraq.

Through scholarships, the Folds of Honor Foundation gives back to spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country

According to Carl Carenbauer, Carenbauer Distributing will be giving away two $5,000 scholarships to a local family through the Folds of Honor foundation. Applicants must apply online at

Scholarship season is from now until April 30. Applicants can scan and email to the website or mail by U.S. Post Office. Information is available on the Folds of Honor Scholarship website or at Carenbauer Distributing Corporation.

All applicants must be a spouse or dependent of a service member killed or disabled during service

There are three types of scholarships: Immediate Use Scholarship; Children’s Scholarship Fund; and Future Use Scholarship.
