Woman To Face Judge
GLEN EASTON – A Glen Easton woman will go before a judge on April 3 to answer a charge of malicious battery after she allegedly threw a rock at another woman and kicked her in the head several times.
According to court records, Brittany Michelle Chambers, 19, of 6851 Fork Ridge Road, was arrested Monday after an altercation with Elizabeth Salkovick outside the Rustic Hills Apartments off Fork Ridge Road just before midnight on Feb. 21.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Marshall County Deputy Joseph R. Hooker, Salkovick, no age or address listed, reported the incident to law enforcement on March 5. Salkovick stated she sent an email earlier that day to Chambers about Chambers’ husband. After receiving the email, Chambers allegedly told Salkovick to meet her at the apartments. When the two met, Chambers allegedly threw a rock at Salkovick, pushed her to the ground and began kicking her in the head and back while wearing boots.
Salkovick sought medical treatment at a local hospital after the alleged attack, the complaint states.
Chambers reportedly told officers the two women did meet that night and added Salkovick “made a provoking gesture,” which caused Chambers to attack her. Chambers confirmed she struck Salkovick several times before the two were broken up by onlookers.
Chambers was charged with malicious battery. Bond was set at $2,500. A preliminary hearing is set for 2 p.m. April 3.
