Man Accused of Sex Assault
Landrum David Robbins, 58, of 181 North Fork Road, is being held at West Virginia Northern Regional Jail for allegedly sexually abusing a young girl under his care.
The accusation came out after the victim reported to a child advocacy center in South Carolina that Robbins had sexually assaulted her multiple times in their home.
Robbins was charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse by a guardian and arrested Friday. Bond was set at $100,000.
According to the criminal complaint filed by West Virginia State Police against Robbins, the girl reported Robbins assaulted her numerous times in 2010 when she was 10 years old and the family was living in South Carolina. Robbins was married to the mother of the victim and acted as a primary caretaker at the time.
The complaint states Robbins initially denied the accusations to police, but later claimed the victim approached him in a sexual manner several times while the family was living in both West Virginia and South Carolina.
A preliminary hearing for Robbins was not set as of Monday.
