On Thursday, Kristie M. Wagner-Keefer, 54, of Box 171, Morristown, was arrested for reporting a false emergency. Bond of $2,000 was posted.

At 6:02 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the parking lot at Sam’s Club for a two-vehicle accident. There was minimal damage.

At 8:39 p.m. Wednesday, a resident on Maple Avenue in Bridgeport, reported his neighbor’s dog chased his two small children. The dog warden was notified and came to the scene. According to the report, the dog warden will cite the dog’s owner.

At 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, a resident on Township Road 70, Barnesville, reported someone broke into a shed and stole an air compressor, bolt cutter and 300 yards of string for a weed eater.

At 12:53 a.m. Wednesday, police investigated a reported domestic disturbance at a Jacob Street address.

At 9:18 p.m. Wednesday, police investigated a possible burglary at a South Wheeling address.

Dog Offenses

At 1:09 p.m. Wednesday police went to the Ohio County Magistrate Court where Darren Lee Helms Jr., 27, of Wheeling, turned himself in on a warrant for dog at large and failure to vaccinate charges.

Breaking And Entering

At 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, police investigated a possible breaking and entering at a South Wheeling business.

Domestic Battery

At 1:39 a.m. Thursday, officers went to a Whitbar Street residence regarding a domestic dispute. They arrested Robert Alan Roeder, 54, of Wheeling, for a third offense domestic battery.

At 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, officers served a warrant at 608 Tomlinson Ave.

At 4:12 p.m. Wednesday, officers took a report of stolen money at 107 13th St.

At 8:21 p.m. Wednesday, officers gathered information on a stolen chainsaw at 1107 12th St.

At 10:34 p.m. Wednesday, officers spoke to a man on station reporting he was assaulted.

OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

At 2:06 a.m. Wednesday, both drivers of tractor-trailers involved in an accident on Interstate 70 just outside of Bridgeport were cited for traffic violations. According to a report, Craig W. Pantry, 39, of Oklahoma City, Okla., was cited for a marked lanes violation, and Billy M. LeHoe, 57, of Ashville, Ohio, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

According to the report, both were westbound, and LeHoe was behind Pantry. Pantry drove off the right side of the road and struck the guardrail. LeHoe then struck Pantry’s vehicle.

The interstate was shut down for approximately four hours.

On Wednesday, troopers arrested Michael L. Neff, 47, of 358 Fairmont St., Wheeling, for no operator’s license, drug paraphernalia, possession and two counts of receiving stolen property. Bond was set at $5,985.

On Wednesday, police arrested Anthony P. Conner, 33, of 611 Clark St., Cambridge, for domestic violence.

On Wednesday, deputies arrested Rhonda M. Stevey, 31, of 60662 Smith Township Road, Jacobsburg, for theft.

At midnight Wednesday, a resident on South 16 Road, Somerset Township reported her ex-husband stole a ring and is attempting to sell it.

On Wednesday, police arrested Vondel S. Bell, 20, of 218-1/2 N. Eighth St., Martins Ferry, for criminal trespassing and theft. Bond of $1,250 was posted.

At 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, a person at Taflan Steel, National Road, Lansing, reported that sometime Saturday night, a person in white Camaro broke into pop machine. Owner has video.

At 3:17 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to 208 Fuel Plaza for a man in front of store who was yelling at customer. Caller said subject appeared to be under the influence. Subject was handcuffed and attempted to head butt a deputy. In doing so, he fell to the ground and knocked himself out. Belmont and Bethesda squads responded. Subject was taken to East Ohio Regional Hospital.

At 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, a person on Washington Street, Somerton, reported someone shot a baby goat.

At 2:11 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to Union Street, Bethesda, where a person reported his stepfather beat his mother. The subject left on foot. He was later found and brought to the county jail. The female was taken to Barnesville Hospital.

On Tuesday, police arrested Joseph P. Thiel, 53, of Saginaw, Michigan, for failure to appear.

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

Robbery

At 3:41 p.m. Monday, police investigated an alleged robbery near Neely’s Market at 16th and Wood streets.

A female victim said she was entering the store when a person grabbed a $50 bill from her hand and fled into East Wheeling.

The victim identified the man as Keith Mays, 24, of Wheeling.

A short time later, police arrested Mays near his home on 14th Street and charged him with second degree robbery.

On Saturday, troopers arrested Freddie G. Maggard, 48, of 69019 Mutton Hollow Road, Bridgeport, for driving under the influence and driving in marked lanes. Bond of $1,095 was posted.

On Saturday, troopers arrested Larry J. Burghy Jr., 36, of 7 Heil Court, Moundsville, for failure to appear. Bond of $250 was posted.

OHIO STATE PATROL

At 9:50 a.m. Friday two people were taken to the Ohio Valley Medical Center following an accident on Interstate 70 in Union Township. Charles D. Gram, 70, of Pickerington, Ohio, was transported by the Bethesda Emergency Squad and Mary E. Gram, 65, of Pickerington, was transported by the Barnesville Emergency Squad. According to the report, Gram was driving a 2007 GMC Sierra eastbound on I-70. He drove off the right side of the road, then the left side of the road and rolled over.

On Sunday, troopers arrested Amanda R. Green, 32, of 2444 Stone Church Road, Wheeling, for DUI, traffic control device violation and no operator’s license. Bond was set a $2,190.

BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

On Sunday, deputies arrested Keith D. Ware, 47, of 50202 Rogley Road, Glencoe, for domestic violence.

At 4:16 a.m. Sunday, a person reported underage drinking was going on at a residence on Fairview Avenue, Barnesville.

At 1:40 a.m. Sunday, deputies went to Chapz Bar and Grill on National Road, Union Township, for a fight.

At 12:31 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Glenwood Village Apartments, Bethesda, where two subjects were fighting.

According to the report, Chad L. Fisher, 23, of 37592 Flat Rock Road, Barnesville, was driving eastbound on U.S. 40 when Mylnek pulled out from a private drive in front of Fisher’s vehicle. Mylnek was driving a 2011 Ford Econoline registered to the Belmont County Commissioners.

At 9:10 p.m. Sunday, a woman called to report being lost in a field and having no idea where she was. The caller said her car broke down, and she started walking, then it got dark. Her cellphone was nearly out of power, she said, and the cellphone company was unable to ping the phone to determine her location. A deputy located her at around 9:41 p.m. Her car was found along Jockey Hollow Road.

At 7:49 p.m. Sunday, individuals called for assistance after going “mudding” on their property and getting stuck off Old Scotty’s Road/Clearwater.
