Two Arrested on Multiple Charges

ST.CLAIRSVILLE – Two men who allegedly broke into numerous businesses and private properties were arrested Monday by Belmont County Sheriff’s deputies, and are being held in the Belmont County Jail.

Justin Baxter, 27, of Cambridge, and John Marple, 28, of Barton-Blaine Road, St. Clairsville, are facing several charges.

Baxter has been charged with breaking and entering, failure to appear, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He is being held without bond. Marple is facing two felony charges of breaking and entering. His bond has been set at $10,000.

Officials said the pair allegedly stole numerous items from various location, including televisions, and copper and telephone wiring.

Both allegedly broke into Blaine Aggregates on Blaine-Barton Road on two separate occasions.

An official of the company said the company was pleased that the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office worked tirelessly to bring the two individuals to justice.
