Steak Fry to Benefit Bethlehem Community Parks
Funds raised through the annual Village of Bethlehem Steak Fry this Saturday will be used to help cover maintenance and equipment costs for the village’s three parks, according to Mayor Garrett “Rhett” Daniel.
Daniel said the steak fry, scheduled for 5:30-11 p.m. Saturday at the main shelter in Bethlehem Community Park, will includes raffles and many door prizes that will also include Pittsburgh Steeler and West Virginia University themed baskets.
“We have a good DJ, and everyone seems to have fun dancing,” Daniel said. “After a hard winter, it will be good to just kick back and relax at the steak fry.”
He said the funds raised at the event will be used to benefit the playgrounds and shelters at the community’s parks. He said some of those funds could be used toward a new roof on the main shelter.
“It is usually a very successful event, and we are able to make a little money for the park,” Daniel added.
Tickets can be purchased at the Loading Zone at 7 Ridgecrest Road, the village municipal building or at the event. For more information call 304-233-9527.
