Lace Up for Kids Provides Shoes to Local Students
Wendy’s, WTOV9, the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley and Information Helpline are teaming up once again with Lace Up for Kids to provide children in grades K-12 a new pair of shoes in time for the start of a new school year. Shoes can be dropped off at any Wendy’s location.
Any child living in Belmont County, Ohio, and the West Virginia counties of Ohio, Marshall and Brooke, and who is enrolled in school in grades K-12 can receive a new pair of shoes when his or her parents or guardian complete an application and eligibility guidelines are met.
Residents of all the designated counties can complete an application at Information Helpline at Suite 307, 51-11th St., Wheeling. Belmont County residents can complete an application at the Salvation Army at 315 37th St., Bellaire. Applications are being accepted until Aug. 1.
