Motorcyclist Dies After Colliding With Vehicle

A 33-year-old Arkansas man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday at 3:17 p.m. on U.S. 250 near Harrisville in Jefferson County.

According to a press release from the Steubenville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Matthew Spence, of Kingland, Ark. was operating a 1983 Yamaha motorcycle. He was driving west on U.S. 250, went off the right side of the road and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Dale Rothert, 73, of Adena. Spence was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

CADIZ – A 33-year-old Arkansas man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday at 3:17 p.m. on U.S. 250 near Harrisville in Jefferson County.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Rothert and a passenger, Kathy Rothert, were not injured in the crash. An OSP crash reconstructionist was on scene to assist with the investigation.
