SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

On Wednesday, Cairon M. Crews, 32, of 17033 Butte Creek Road, Houston, Texas, was arrested for receiving stolen property, obstructing justice and endangering children. Bond was set at $11,000.

On Tuesday, Ryan J. Forsythe, 21, of 2121 Guernsey St., Bellaire, was arrested for failure to appear. No bond was set.

On Tuesday, Melody Keene, 60, of 610 Cutler St., Marietta, was arrested for passing bad checks and failure to appear. No bond was set.

At 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported observing three males breaking into vehicles at Belle Village Apartments, Patterson Hill Road, Bellaire. The subjects were described as two white males and one Latino male, all wearing black clothing. Units responded but did not locate the subjects.

At 6:09 p.m. Monday, a complainant on North 26 Road in Bethesda reported her brother kicked in the windshield of their vehicle. Units responded, Tasered the male who reportedly resisted arrest and took him into custody. Casmir Charles Blake, 33, of Holloway, was taken to Belmont Community Hospital before being booked in the Belmont County Jail on charges of domestic violence, criminal damaging, persistent disorderly conduct, vandalism, assault on a police officer, possession of drugs (marijuana), drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and menacing.

At 7:06 p.m. Monday, a deputy reported a cow in the roadway on Lee Road in Wheeling Township. The owner was contacted to handle the situation.

BRIDGEPORT

POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Tuesday, Daniel T. Bishop, 39, of 19 Byrd Ave., Wheeling, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments. Bond was set at $750.

OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

On Tuesday, Charles G. Wiseman, 46, of 178 N. Church St., Handen, Ohio, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, FRA suspension, head light violation, receiving stolen property and seat belt violation. Bond set at $3,675.

At 2:15 p.m. Monday, police investigated a reported shoplifting at Elm Grove Crossing.

At 10:48 a.m. Monday, officers responded to a Sixth Street residence regarding a report of a publicly intoxicated person.

At 5:04 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a fight at Wal-Mart, but those involved left by the time officers arrived.

At 8:06 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a 17th Street residence for a report of a neighbor threatening to poison the the resident’s cat.

At 10:57 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a Tomlinson Avenue residence regarding a breaking and entering.

At 3:23 p.m. Monday, a complainant reported vandalism at Epworth Park in Bethesda. According to reports, someone was driving through the park and throwing oil on vehicles.

At 1:43 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to Summit Avenue, St. Clairsville, where a person reported someone shot bullet holes through trash cans and killed cats. The complainant also stated a loader was hot-wired and driven over a hill.

On Monday, Charles C. Blake, 33, of 409 Ashton St., Holloway, was arrested for domestic violence, criminal damage, persistent disorderly conduct, vandalism, assault on a police officer, possession of drugs (marijuana), drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $9,235.

At 8:25 p.m. Sunday, officials responded to Garbriel Brothers, Banfield Road, St. Clairsville, and took custody of a male shoplifter.

At 6:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Alledonia-Crabapple Road in Washington Township reported while they were outside at their pool, someone entered and ransacked their home. The caller said an older hearse-style vehicle that was tan in color was seen leaving the scene.

At 4:13 p.m. Sunday, a person complained of being harassed by an individual who followed him to his vehicle outside of Farm Fresh in Colerain. The individual reportedly asked the complainant “why aren’t you dead yet?”

At 3:45 p.m. Sunday, officials responded to an address on Main Street in Pease Township for an unruly juvenile.

At 1:32 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported someone had broken into a substation on Driveway Lane in Putlney Township.

On Monday, Jonathan P. Rhodes III, 21, of 41st Street, Bellaire, was arrested for domestic violence.

On Monday, Rico L. Redmond, 43, of 400 Marshall St., McMechen, was arrested for theft and possession of drugs.

At 3:58 a.m. Saturday, officers went to a Lafayettte Avenue business regarding a customer who was throwing food and kicking garbage cans. The man was gone by the time officers arrived.

At 6:58 a.m. Saturday, officers went to a Hancock Street residence regarding an intoxicated man wielding a machete, but made no arrests.

At 6:04 p.m Saturday, officers at headquarters took a report regarding a Chevrolet truck that may have been stolen while parked at a Walmart Drive business.

At 1:17 a.m. Sunday, officers took a report from an Oak Avenue resident who said she watched her neighbors rip some boards from her fence.

At 3:28 p.m. Sunday, officers took a report from an Elm Avenue resident who said someone was throwing nails on the ground.

At 11:05 p.m. Sunday, officers went to a Curtis Avenue residence regarding a report of an intoxicated man trying to enter someone’s house. Upon arrival, officers arrested William Tedrow, 30, no address given, for public intoxication.

At approximately 10:50 p.m. Saturday, an officer went to a North Erie Street address to serve a warrant and arrested Derek Rice, 22, for domestic battery.

On Sunday, an officer was dispatched to the Warwood Family Dollar for reports of a shoplifter. As a result, Jessica Elliott, 36, was arrested for shoplifting and released with a citation.

Failure To Pay Fines

At 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested Tiffany Minor on Water Street on a warrant out of Wheeling Municipal Court for failure to pay fines and court costs on prior pleads on indecent exposure, obstructing and disorderly conduct. She was taken to the Northern Regional Jail.

At 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested Timothy Wagner, of Pennsylvania, for DUI.

At 8:48 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested Rodd Ray Allison, for simple possession of marijuana, reckless driving and driving while suspended.

At 1:07 a.m. Tuesday, officers went to 1316 Center St. to a report of a possible arson.

At 3:04 a.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to 310 10th St. to a man and a woman breaking into a garage. The two reportedly ran away when spotted.

At 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 1333 Ruby St. for a woman who reported a man was entering her house through a window.

At 10:43 a.m. Monday, a man and woman from Coen Road, Jacobsburg, reported illegal drug activity in an unspecified area. A deputy accompanied them to the location where he discovered drug paraphernalia alongside the road.

At 9:18 a.m. Monday, a person reported that a building of Columbia Gas Transmission in Bethesda was hit.

At 3:10 a.m. Monday, a deputy stopped a vehicle on Mall Road entrance to Ohio Valley Plaza. When a male exited the vehicle there was a strong odor of marijuana. Confiscated from the vehicle was a small amount of marijuana, pipe and grinder.

On Monday, police arrested Tina R. Pizzola, 28, of 175 E. Main St., St. Clairsville, for persistent disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $250.

On Sunday, deputies arrested Timothy E. Camp Jr., 26, of St. Clairsville, for aggravated arson. Bond set at $20,000.

On Saturday, deputies arrested John D. Hess, 45, and Tammy Lucas, 50, both of 58181 Kirkland Hill Road, Bellaire, for domestic violence.

On Saturday, deputies arrested Stephen P. McNeil, 25, of Belmont, for persistent disorderly conduct. Bond of $250 was posed.

At 11:44 p.m. Saturday, a person on Lady Bend Hill, Morristown, reported a vehicle fire.

At 9:23 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to Beech Hill Bar, National Road, St. Clairsville, concerning a fire in the basement.

At 8:10 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to Pilot Truck Stop, Belmont, where person reported a tractor/trailer backed into his truck and left the scene.

At 5:24 p.m. Saturday, a person at a business on National Road, Belmont, reported theft of a Dell laptop computer.

On Saturday, deputies responded to bar in Holloway concerning a male being assaulted. One person was taken to Wheeling Hospital.

At 11;30 a.m. Friday, Pultney Township trustees reported theft of two pine trees from township property.

At 10:04 Friday, a person at restaurant on Valley Frontage Road, Richland Township, reported a person walked away without paying a $40 bill.

On Saturday, troopers arrested Ryan M. Fuller 39, of 310 Main St., Morristown, for DUI, FRA suspension, seat belt violation, persistent disorderly conduct and space between moving vehicles. Bond of $5,930 was posted.

Wheeling Police Department

Stabbing

At 12:56 a.m. Sunday, an officer witnessed a vehicle driving erratically in downtown Wheeling. The patrol attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the car continued on to the emergency room at Ohio Valley Medical Center before stopping. The driver told the officer he had been stabbed.

At the same time, other officers had responded to a call of an argument at a Wheeling Island address, and it was learned the stabbing occurred there.

The incident is still under investigation, and the victim is not believed to have life-threatening injuries.

Manufacturing, Cultivating Marijuana

At 9:15 p.m. Saturday, officers executed a search warrant at a Duquense Avenue address. Chantelle Renee Compton, 34, of Wheeling, was arrested for manufacturing/cultivating marijuana.

Carring Concealed Deadly Weapon

At an unspecified time on Saturday, an officer pulled over a silver Kia sedan with expired plates that was stopped on North Front St.

Wilbur Barr IV, 22, was arrested for carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Domestic Battery/Battery

At 6:41 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to the Elm Grove Rite Aid in regard to an earlier domestic situation there. Police then went to an address on the 2200 block of East Paxton St. and arrested Christina Faye Forrester for domestic battery.

Burglary/Destruction of Property

At 5:03 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a South Wheeling address for a report of burglary and destruction of property.

Possession with Intent to

Distribute Marijuana, Refusing to Sign Fingerprint Card, Simple

Possession of Marijuana

At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, an officer on patrol at the 1400 block of Market Street witnessed a drug transaction take place on the sidewalk between Clifton Dent and Justin Andrew Neer.

Neer was charged with simple possession; and Dent, possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

At 5:39 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a call at a 16th Street residence regarding a report of an intoxicated woman lying in a garden. They arrested Florence Gheen, 63, of Wheeling, on charges of public intoxication, obstruction and disorderly conduct.

At 7:25 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a North Highland Avenue residence regarding a neighborhood disturbance.

At 7:25 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a Jefferson Avenue business regarding a destruction of property to a pole.

At 9:34 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to 500 Jefferson Ave. for a report of someone kicking a dog.

At 12:32 a.m. Friday, officers responded to 1600 Third St. for a report of juveniles trying to break into the building.

At 2:53 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Elder Avenue, St. Clairsville, where a person reported someone wrote checks on a family member’s checking account.

On Thursday, Tyson D. Stephen, 28, of 34518 Leatherwood Pike, Barnesville, was arrested for aggravated menacing. No bond was set.

On Thursday, Kiana B. Wallace, 21, of 5075 Jefferson St., Bellaire, was arrested for failure to appear.

On Thursday, Gregory K. Thomas, 41, of 308 Williams St., Yorkville, was arrested for failure to register. Bond set at $5,000.

At 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a yellow Ford F-150 truck stolen from Mayhugh Hill Road in Warren Township. The complainant later called back wanting to cancel the report, stating he was planning to check the bank to see if it was possible the vehicle was repossessed.

At 3 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported cattle loose off of Negus Road. A property owner on scene reportedly told deputies they believed someone is purposefully knocking the gate down.

On Wednesday, Daniel B. Ritter, 30, of 107 Sunnyside Court, Wheeling, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. Bond was set at $2,750.

At 4:18 p.m. Monday, a resident on Charleston Lane, St. Clairsville, said he got into a fight with a family member and is now at a neighbor’s. The Deputy responded and transported a male juvenile to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.

At 1:24 p.m. Monday, a complainant reported theft of copper from outside a tower in a fenced area along Old Cadiz Road in Bridgeport. Ground wires were reportedly cut and taken sometime during the previous week.

At 12:07 p.m. Monday, a resident on East High Street, Flushing, reported that a person she identified stripped wires from her house

At 12:53 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to Days Inn in Belmont for a domestic dispute. A male and female were taken to jail.

At 10:53 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Fox Run Hospital in St. Clairsville for a report of a male juvenile who allegedly assaulted another juvenile there and was being aggressive toward the staff. He was transported to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.

On Monday, Jacque S. Beffer, 55, and Nicholas A. Beffer, 55, both of Tawanda, Pa., were arrested for domestic violence.

On Monday, police arrested Samuel J. Pete, 28, of 534 N. Seventh St., Martins Ferry, for possession of marijuana.

Gun Violation

At 12:39 a.m. Monday, police went to an area of the walking trail in the 2100 block of Main Street for a report of a gunshot. The investigation led to the arrest of Zachary Michael Foster, 22, of Triadelphia, who was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon without a permit, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Northern Regional Jail in Moundsvile.

Domestic Dispute

At 1:02 a.m. today, police investigated a domestic dispute on Brooke Avenue.

On Sunday, a resident on McClainesville Road reported that she lost various credit cards, Medicare card and license within last three days.

At 7:32 a.m. Sunday, a person reported that someone is doing illegal dumping on property in Blaine.

On Sunday, Nicholas J. DiVittorio, 29, of 68201 Commercial Drive, Bridgeport, was arrested for breaking and entering, failure to comply possession of criminal tools and burglary. Bond was set at $11,000.

At 9:21 p.m. Saturday, a caller on Bel Haven Road, Bellaire, said her husband was backing from driveway and hit a car parked off the side of the road. Parties exchanged information.

At 7:09 p.m. Saturday, a resident on High Street, Flushing, reported an assault from a road rage incident.

At 3:20 p.m. Saturday, a resident on Sunset Heights reported truck slipped out of gear and drifted over a hill into a neighbor’s yard. Neighbor gave permission to tow truck from yard.

At 2:07 p.m. Saturday, Macy’s reported a shoplifter who left store.

At 2:02 p.m. Saturday, Wal-Mart reported a shoplifter and indicated charge will be filed.

At 1:32 p.m. Saturday, a caller on Robinson Hollow Road, Bridgeport, reported illegal dumping.

At 7:13 a.m. Saturday, a caller on North Ninth Street, Martins Ferry, reported receiving threatening call from person she identified.

On Friday, Jessica M. Williams, 33, of 3414 Monroe St., Bellaire, was arrested for failure to appear. No bond was set.

On Friday, Conna M. Lynch, 35, of 329 Franklin St., Bellaire, was arrested for three count of failure to appear. Bond was set at $923.

Gun Violations

At 12:39 a.m. today, police went to an area of the walking trail in the 2100 block of Main Street for a report of a gunshot. The investigation led to the arrest of Zachary Michael Foster, 22, of Triadelphia, who was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon without a permit, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Northern Regional Jail in Moundsville.

Domestic Dispute

At 1:02 a.m. today, police investigated a domestic dispute on Brooke Avenue.

At 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, units were dispatched to West Texas Roadhouse in St. Clairsville after receiving a call from the manager who reportedly stated a man who was kicked out of the establishment the previous night had returned. Units located the man and advised him not to return.

At 1:04 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a parking lot at Ohio Valley Plaza where person locked keys in car and a child was inside. St. Clairsville police officers also responded and were able to get the vehicle unlocked.

At 12:54 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy received a report of a dog left inside a vehicle at Wal-Mart in the Ohio Valley Plaza, St. Clairsville. The deputy spoke with the owner.

At 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to assist Bethesda Police. The K-9 hit on a vehicle and drug abuse instruments were found. The vehicle was impounded.

At 6:43 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to National Road West to assist St. Clairsville police in a domestic incident.

On Sunday, a resident of North Moss Run Road, Bellaire, reported vandalism on her property. She reported discovering a white wicker chair on her front porch had been damaged with a knife.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, the department received a report of threats made during a custody exchange at a location on Depot Street in Flushing.

At 12:23 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported finding what was believed to be a methamphetamine lab while riding an ATV near Quincy. He met officers and took them to a location off Griffen Street in Pultney Township on old railroad tracks to a site where there were pop bottles with hoses sticking out of them.

Officers confirmed the portable meth lab and took possession of the items at the site. Personnel from the Neffs Fire Department, Martins Ferry Police Department and Belmont County Drug Task Force were notified.

At 9:25 p.m. Friday, the department received a complaint of a neighbor dispute on National Road in Belmont. The complainant alleged her neighbor had threatened to shoot her tires.

At 8:49 p.m. Friday, loss prevention at Wal-Mart requested assistance with two female shoplifters who were giving them a hard time.

At 7:21 p.m. Friday, a complainant said she had visited a residence on Milligan Avenue in Bellaire where people were making homemade alcohol. She also said she saw boxes of brass knuckles, knives and guns in the basement.
