At 7:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested Nicole Amanda Dew, 46, of Norridge, Ill., for prostitution Thursday after a sting operation at the EconoLodge motel on Dallas Pike. A police report states that a member of the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force located an advertisement on the internet at a website commonly used for prostitution. According to the report, a deputy made contact with a woman. After an verbal exchange involved what services she would perform, two deputies entered the room and arrested Dew. Ohio County Magistrate Joe Roxby set bond for Dew at $1,000.

At 5:52 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a 12th Street residence regarding a stolen handgun.

At 6:14 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a 12th Street residence regarding a break-in.

Reports

At 9:03 a.m. Thursday, a caller found drug paraphernalia next to a telephone pole near Bel Village Apartments, Bellaire. A deputy responded and picked up the items.

At 12:14 a.m. Thursday, deputies assisted another unit on Fairpoint-New Athens Road where a truck had been driven into a pond. Male subjects were attempting to flee, according to the report.

At 8:31 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Washington Boulevard in Pease Township reported hearing four to five gunshots fired in the neighborhood. A deputy checked the area, but nothing was found.

At 12:42 p.m. Wednesday, Dollar General in Belmont reported a male shoplifter caught on a surveillance camera.

At 11:07 a.m. Monday, a caller from Ohio Street, Martins Ferry, reported a wallet was taken from his unlocked car during the night. Also taken was change and $200 worth of CDs.

At 5:32 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Boscov’s at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a female shoplifter. Information was taken for a report and person was released on recognizance.

At 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Wal-Mart for a female shoplifter. Information was taken for a report. The person was released on recognizance bond.

On Tuesday, a deputy took information about an apparent scam reported by a resident on Crescent Road, St. Clairsville. The caller reported someone was trying to open an a credit card using their personal information.

On Tuesday, Amanda Jo Braun, 38, and Ryan J. Braun, 28, both of 201 Pear St., Bethesda, were both booked on charges of receiving stolen property. Ryan Braun was also booked on possession of drug abuse instruments. Bond for Amanda Braun was set at $2,500 and bond for Ryan Braun was set at $3,250.

BARNESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Tuesday, Ronald A. Bartolo, 47, of 216 Pearl St., Flushing, was arrested for possession of drug abuse instruments and non compliance. Bond was set at $1,750.

On Sunday, police arrested Kevin J. Paige, 25, of 1213-1/2 Lynn St., Bridgeport, for tampering with evidence and possession of drugs. Bond of $20,000 was posted.

On Sunday, police arrested Gregory K. Thomas, 41, of Rayland, for criminal trespassing and breaking and entering.

At 7:18 p.m. Sunday, a deputy went to Pine View Drive, Belmont, for a verbal domestic complaint.

At 8:29 p.m. Sunday, deputies went to Cherry Lane, Shadyside, to look for a missing Martins Ferry juvenile.

At 7:01 p.m. Sunday, a person reported that a woman had her wallet stolen at McDonald’s, Ohio Valley Mall, while placing an order at the counter.

At 6:57 p.m. Sunday, deputies went to Boscov’s, Ohio Valley Mall, for two female shoplifters.

At 6:12 p.m. Sunday, deputies went to a residence on Main Street, Belmont, where person reported lines to a welder were stolen.

On Sunday, deputies arrested Casmir C. Blake, 33, of Holloway, for attempted assault, possession of drugs, persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $2,750.

On Sunday, deputies arrested Cherry L, Schuster, 61, of Fairpoint, for persistent disorderly conduct. Bond set at $250.

At 1:24 p.m. Saturday, deputies went to Barton Volunteer Fire Department where items may have been taken from gear room.

At 1:12 p.m. Saturday, a person on Orchard Drive, Colerain Township, reported theft of neon signs from a building.

At 1:07 p.m. Saturday, a resident on Main Street, Morristown, reported a pickup truck was damaged.

At 8:36 a.m., Saturday, a person at Majestic Pines Golf Course reported theft of copper wire from premises.

At 6:26 p.m. Friday, a McMechen resident reported theft of several tools from worksite in Belmont County.

At 8:37 p.m. Thursday, a person reported a threatening incident in the parking lot of a store at the Ohio Valley Plaza. A deputy responded.

At 7:08 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Days Inn West for a report of vandalism to a vehicle.

At 2:24 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Reservoir Hill Road, Flushing, for a juvenile complaint.

On Thursday, Tiffany L. Barton, 28, of 287 8 Washington St., Bellaire, was arrested for theft and two counts of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,500.

At 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to a hit-skip report at Best Value, National Road, St. Clairsville.

At 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on an interstate hit-skip call.

At 7:11 p.m. Wednesday, a resident of Bluebird Drive, St. Clairsville, reported a phone scam. The complainant said the caller claimed to be from the IRS, demanding money and stating the police were going to arrest them.

At 6:57 p.m. Wednesday, several units responded to a call at Lansing Commons in Lansing regarding a domestic incident.

At 4:47 p.m. Wednesday, a caller at Carmike Cinemas, Ohio Valley Mall, reported a female stole a stock order from the hallway.

At 1:07 a.m. Wednesday, a caller on Barton Road, St. Clairsville, reported a person threatened to kill them and allegedly stole $200.

On Wednesday, deputies arrested Matthew P. Lewis, 30, of Martins Ferry for endangering children. Bond set at $10,000.

At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a caller on West Drive, Pease Township, reported 10 raccoons were on the porch. A sergeant advised the caller to get traps and try to catch them.

At 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to Hampton Inn on National Road, St. Clairsville, for a noise complaint. Tenants in one of the rooms were reportedly being loud. Officers spoke to the tenants and advised them to keep it down.

On Wednesday, police arrested Terry A. Loges, 32, of Martins Ferry for driving under suspension, failure to control, possession of Schedules I and II drugs, DUI and contempt. Bond was set at $4,095.

At 10:39 p.m. Monday, deputies went to Neola Avenue, Bridgeport for a domestic incident. A caller reported a male and female were fighting in the alley near her house.

At 8:40 p.m. Monday, a caller from Boyd Ridge in Bellaire reported being assaulted over an issue regarding property lines.

At 8:39 p.m. Monday, officials received a report of an individual driving a white Dodge Ram with West Virginia plates east on Interstate 70 brandishing a gun. Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle and handled the situation, according to reports.

At 6:55 p.m. Monday, a caller reported someone on a four-wheeler was in the intersection of Wright Road and Homer Reed Road in Somerset Township tearing up the road by doing donuts.

On Tuesday, police arrested John A. Lemmon, 19, of Wheeling for abusing harmful intoxicants. $1,000 bond.

On Tuesday, troopers arrested Linda G. Hensley, 60, of Lancaster, Ohio, failure to appear.

At 12:54 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to residence on Provident-Fairpoint Road, St. Clairsville, for a domestic incident.

At 3:46 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to the Belmont County Animal Shelter where a garbage truck struck the building. At 8:54 a.m. Monday, a resident on Main Street, St. Clairsville, reported someone broke into a building and shaved their horse with a razor. A deputy took information for a report.

On Monday, Erik M. Kavanas, 41, of 70435 Provident-Fairpoint Road, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct, menacing, resisting arrest, retaliation, assault and domestic violence. Bond was set at $16,500.

On Monday, David S. McCord, 36, of 201 Pear St., Bethesda, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.

On Monday, James F. Parr, 32, of 54779 Wegee Road, Shadyside, was arrested on three counts of failure to appear.

On Monday, Richard A. Mitchell, 52, of 17 16th St., Wheeling, was arrested for aggravated robbery and failure to appear. Bond was set at $20,206.

At 8:16 a.m. Sunday, a female from Carrie Street in Powhatan Point reported a male subject was in a vehicle unresponsive.

On Monday, Justin R. Totterdale, 29, of 1705 Fourth St., Moundsville, was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $7,500.

At 1:03 p.m. Sunday, motorists were traveling the wrong way on Interstate 70 due to a wreck. Deputies responded to assist with traffic.

At 10:04 p.m. Sunday, a resident in Powhatan Point reported theft of a battery from a car.

At 6:31 a.m. Sunday, a person at Trigg Construction in Neffs reported a building was broken into and was not sure if anything was taken. A window was broken.

On Sunday, a resident on Treadway Road, Bridgeport, reported someone was dumping trash on their property. A deputy responded and said there was no sign of dumping.

At 2:45 p.m. Sunday, a resident on Oakwood Drive, Belmont, reported vandalism to a truck. Two tires were slashed.

At 3:31 a.m. Saturday, a person at Linn Tipple, Armstrong-Centerville Road, reported a building was broken into and was uncertain if anything was missing. A lock was broken off at one of the buildings. A deputy responded.

At 5:54 p.m. Friday, a resident on W. Captina Highway, Powhatan Point, reported a residence was broken into and entry was gained through the back door. Several items were missing. A deputy responded.

At 1:43 p.m. Friday, a resident on National Road, Colerain, reported a car was entered and ransacked, but nothing was taken.

At 11:10 a.m. Friday, a resident on Elm Street, Bridgeport, reported a vehicle was broken into over night but nothing was taken.

At 8:15 a.m. Friday, a resident on Beal Street, Bridgeport, reported a car was broken into and an iPad and some change was stolen.

Failure to Pay Fines on Plea to Trespassing – Public Intoxication

At 12:41 a.m. Saturday, Tyrone Henderson, 39, of Wheeling, was arrested at the 1400 block of Market St. for a capias out of Ohio County Municipal Court, and for public intoxication. Also arrested for public intoxication was Donald Lee Maupin III, 31, of Bellaire. Both were transported to the Northern Regional Jail.

On Thursday, police went to a Mount DeChantal Road business for a shoplifter in custody. As a result they issued a citation for shoplifting to Jessica Wall, 28, of Wheeling.

Warrant Arrest

On Thursday, police went to the Ohio County Magistrate office to arrest Paul Pollock of Ohio who turned himself in for an outstanding warrant.

On Friday, Magistrate Patty Murphy set bond at $1,000 for Mark Anthony Charley II, 21, of Wheeling, whom West Virginia State Police charged with driving revoked for DUI second offense, expired vehicle inspection and improper registration.

At 1:47 p.m. Thursday, a resident on Kirkwood Heights Road, Bridgeport, said she left keys in her car and someone stole it. Dispatch was advised the Ohio State Highway Patrol had a vehicle they were getting ready to tow. The vehicle was crashed over the guardrail across from the Moose Lodge. A deputy was dispatched and advised that the female admitted her husband crashed the vehicle.

At 8:50 a.m. Thursday, a caller from a residence on St. Mary’s Avenue, Bellaire, said $7,000 was missing from her adult son’s bedroom closet.

At 8:41 a.m. Thursday, a deputy assisted units from the Bellaire Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service at a residence on Toad Hollow Road, Bellaire, for service of a misdemeanor warrant. One male was taken to jail, and drugs were confiscated by the Bellaire police units, according to the report.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Ronald L. Shaw, 43, of Bellaire for trafficking in drugs.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Kari D. Jako, 25, of Noble Street, Bellaire, for theft.

At 11:09 a.m. Wednesday, two individuals from Waterworks Road, Barnesville, came to the station to report they were being harassed and threatened. A deputy obtained written statements.

At 11:42 a.m. Wednesday, a complainant from Commercial Drive, Bridgeport, said they went to the Social Security office after their check was not deposited and were informed that someone had attempted to steal his identity.

On Wednesday, a complainant from Center Street, St. Clairsville, reported someone called and told her she has not paid her taxes, stating that they had sent letters. The complainant said she had not received any letters stating this. The caller reportedly said they were coming to her house to collect the money. Officials advised the complainant that this is a scam and told her to call 911 if anyone showed up in connection with this call.

At 6:47 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to the Pilot station on Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont, for a report of a pit bull running around the parking lot. The dog was taken to the animal shelter and was later picked up by its owners, according to the report.

At 4:08 a.m. Wednesday, a caller from Union Street, Bethesda, complained that neighbors were playing loud music all night. A deputy responded, and the neighbors said they would be quiet for the night.

At 1:39 a.m. Tuesday, police went to 157 18th St. where they arrested Katlyn Ponko, 19, of Triadelphia, for destruction of property, battery and public intoxication.

Fleeing

At 5:11 p.m. Monday, police responded to a call at a Wheeling Island restaurant regarding a possible drug deal in progress. After a foot chase around the neighborhood, police arrested Alexander Davis Jr., 33, of Cleveland, for fleeing and possession with intend to deliver a controlled substance. Police also had an arrest warrant and hold order for Davis as a result of previous charges.

At 8:55 p.m. Monday, troopers went to 506 Springdale Ave., Wheeling, in response to a report of a disturbance. As a result, they arrested June Ellen Rouse, 43, for disorderly conduct, obstructing and assault on an officer.

At 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from National Road in Colerain Township said they had been in jail for 10 days and when they returned home, several items were found to be missing.

At 3:07 p.m. Tuesday, deputy responded to Wal-Mart for a male shoplifter.

At 1:46 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from Cats Hollow Road said he was speaking with a case worker at Southeast Recovery and Mental Health Care Services on Bannock Road said the caller’s son, who just lost his job, stated he was going to the middle of town and was going to shoot people. Deputies located the son and spoke to him. After consent was given for a search, no guns were found. A deputy said the father who had placed the call was intoxicated.

At 1:37 p.m. Tuesday, resident on Hillview Drive, Bellaire, reported a chainsaw was stolen from his shed.

At 10:39 a.m Tuesday, a deputy responded to Bel Clair Garden Apartments where a vehicle ran into the building.

At 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, a resident on Patton’s Run Road, Martins Ferry, reported illegal dumping on property.

At 7:48 a.m. Tuesday, a person requested to speak to a deputy in reference to a vehicle that almost ran over her child. A deputy was dispatched to the scene at Bridgeport Middle School.

On Tuesday, Karen Allah, 28, of 3472 Franklin St, Bellaire, was arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond was set at $302.53.

On Tuesday, Derek R. Graham, 34, of 1381 Belmont St., Bellaire, was arrested for failure to appear. Bond was set at $1,000.

On Monday, a caller from Lin Chris Drive in St. Clairsville said she believed someone tried to enter her residence overnight through a bedroom window. Someone hit the screen in the window and a fan fell out of the window, according to the caller, who said she saw two figures running from her yard.

Marijuana Possession

At 2:59 p.m. Sunday, an officer made a traffic stop on National Road after observing the driver allegedly not wearing a seat belt. Police said the driver, who was not named in the report, admitted to possessing marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia was discovered in the car. The driver was cited for simple possession, no seat belt and an expired inspection sticker.

Warrant

At 1:12 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to North Park concerning a domestic disturbance. As a result, they arrested Anthony Dunn, 33, of Wheeling on an outstanding warrant.

Stolen Vehicle

At 1:55 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to an 18th Street address regarding a stolen vehicle.

Multiple Charges

At 3:15 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Chapline Street. As a result, they arrested Najilek Cheak, 24, of Wheeling on charges of public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant.

Traffic Stop

At 7:13 p.m. Saturday, an officer made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of National Road. As a result, Karl Michael Roush, 61, of Wheeling was arrested for driving while revoked, expired registration, no proof of insurance and no inspection sticker. He was released with a citation.
