At 10:55 a.m. Thursday, Lafayette Avenue, dog in a hot car.

At 11:36 p.m. Wednesday, Lafayette Avenue, unspecified warrant served on Jessica Moore.

BELMONT COUNTY

SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At 3:56 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Pleasant Ridge Road, Centersville, reported someone broke into the house they are remodeling and stole the air conditioning unit and copper wiring.

At 3:23 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Kilgore Road, Bellaire, for a shooting complaint. The deputy spoke with both parties, who were going to work out their problem amongst themselves, according to the report.

At 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from Key-Bellaire Road, Bellaire, reported someone has been letting out his cattle over the past several months.

At 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to a construction company site on Neffs-Bellaire Road, Bellaire, for a report theft of items.

At 11:23 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Clegg Road, Jacobsburg, for a report of two generators and other items stolen.

At 10:32 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Maple Road, Bridgeport, for a report of a possible overdose. An emergency squad also responded. The deputy advised heroin was found in the female’s room.

At 6:41 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont, for a report of a stolen wallet.

At 3:37 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to the perimeter of the Ohio Valley Mall for a report of a female shoplifter at Boscov’s who reportedly left the store and headed toward Panera Bread. One female, whose name was not listed in the incident report, was taken into custody by Long John Silver’s and was transported to jail.

At 11:08 a.m. Monday, a complainant reported a 1989 Jayco pop-up camper with West Virginia plates stolen from Valley View Campgrounds on National Road, Morristown.

At 2:14 p.m. Monday, a deputy was dispatched to JD Byrider on Mall Ring Road, St. Clairsville, for a complaint of windows that were busted out of a few vehicles.

At 9:38 a.m. Monday, a complainant from Maple Drive, Bridgeport, reported someone stole a Trump election sign from his property.

At 9:14 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Chestnut Ridge, Barnesville, reported a burglary, advising that sometime during the day, someone entered her home and took a firearm.

At 6:51 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to Main Street in Lloydsville to pick up a highly intoxicated caller who was thinking someone was going to “beat him up.” Officers took him to the station to be picked up by his girlfriend.

At 6:31 a.m. Sunday, a deputy responded to Fine Day Campground on National Road, Belmont, for a male subject who reportedly was assaulted.

At 12:06 a.m. Sunday, units responded to an address on Black Oak Road, Flushing, for a “frantic” call regarding a black bear in their yard. Upon arrival, the bear was not seen, according to officers, who sounded a bullhorn and the whistle siren in an attempt to scare away the bear. Dogs were heard barking in the neighborhood in the direction the bear was last seen headed, according to the report. Units patrolled the area, but nothing was found. Officers advised the complainant that black bears are not aggressive unless cornered or if a female is with her cubs. The complainant was advised to never approach a bear and to make noise to scare it away if one is seen on the property again.

At 9:51 a.m. Saturday, a complainant from a business on Industrial Drive, Bridgeport, reported a breaking and entering with several items missing.
