Straub Automotive to Sponsor Hoorah 2 Heroes Law Enforcement Fundraiser

Straub Automotive will be sponsoring the second-annual Hoorah 2 Heroes Law Enforcer Hill Raiser Endurance Challenge to be held at The Highlands on Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.

The endurance event was created to promote law enforcement, firefighters, and paramedics within the community and expand on the activities available in Ohio County. The event will utilize the Highlands terrain to test the mental strength, speed and endurance of those participating, up to a maximum of 150 runners.

The race will consist of two phases — the first over 7 miles of rigorous terrain starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday. After an eight-hour rest period, the participants will head back to the starting line and repeat the same 7-mile course on Sunday morning.

Straub Manager Bryan Fato said he’s looking forward to the event.

“We’re excited to be sponsoring the Hoorah 2 Heroes Endurance Challenge this year, not only to assist the American Heart Association, but also to support our local law enforcement and first responders for their hard work and dedication throughout the year on behalf of our entire local community,” Fato said.

Straub Automotive is locally owned and operated and has been serving Wheeling and surrounding communities in the Ohio Valley for over 75 years. The company’s Honda, Hyundai and Nissan new and used car dealerships are all located in Triadelphia, just off I-70 across from The Highlands shopping center. Its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram new and used dealership is located at 1502 Wheeling Ave. in Glen Dale.
