West Virginia Northern Community College in Wheeling to Host Career Fair

The 2017 Career & Transfer Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 8 at West Virginia Northern Community College’s downtown Wheeling campus.

The event, free and open to the public, will be conducted in the B&O Building auditorium, 1704 Market St., and is intended to connect spring graduates with area employers and to provide information to students who want to transfer to a four-year institution to continue their education.

So far, 24 participants have registered to attend to provide information and interaction with students. Employers include Williams Lea Tag, Brightwood Center, GMS Mine Repair & Maintenance Inc., ManCan Staffing, United Hospital Center, United States Air Force, WorkForce West Virginia, Oglebay Park, At Home Senior Services, Shadyside Care Center, Wheeling Hospital and the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services.

Attending higher education institutions include Geneva College, Bethany College, WVU Extended Learning, West Liberty University, WVU Parkersburg, WVU Institute of Technology, Robert Morris University, Wheeling Jesuit University, Point Park University, Marshall University, Duquesne University and Salem University.

It is recommended that those seeking employment dress professionally and bring plenty of resume copies. Transfer students are encouraged to bring unofficial copies of their transcripts.
