BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
At 12:40 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Cook Road, Shadyside, for a report of shots fired on the property.
At 11:47 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to Wal-Mart at the Ohio Valley Plaza, St. Clairsville, for a report from a female caller who stated she hit a shopping cart. A second caller reported to dispatch that the female struck a person, not a cart. A deputy responded and advised the male was being uncooperative. There were no injuries, according to the report, which stated surveillance video was being checked.
At 8:04 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Lansing-Chermont Road, Colerain, for a report of cattle on the road.
At 6:12 a.m. Thursday, a deputy met officials from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department at the New Athens Post Office for transport of a prisoner.
