Sistersville Man Indicted On Firearms Charges
Jamie Villono, 36, of Sistersville, was indicted on charges of illegal possession of firearms and transporting stolen firearms.
A federal grand jury indicted him Tuesday on three counts, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Betsy Jividen of the Northern District of West Virginia.
His indictment includes: felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and interstate transportation of a firearm, according to Jividen.
Villono was previously convicted of breaking and entering in Tyler County Circuit Court, court information states. Then, in October in Tyler County, he allegedly took a variety of guns for sale across state lines to Ohio.
If convicted, Villono faces up to 10 years and a fine of up to $250,000 for each count.
Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Perri is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
Investigators were from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Tyler County Sheriff’s Department.
