Three Arrested In Murder Investigation in Jefferson County

Three Jefferson County men were arrested Tuesday in connection with a murder in Tuscarawas County that happened early Monday.

Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla said deputies assisted the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Department in arresting the men. They did not specify where they located the suspects.

Taken into custody on pending murder charges were Kyle Boyd, 22, of 260 Ohio 151, Mingo Junction; Jordan Robinson, 20, of 7818 County Road 39, Bloomingdale; and Arnoldo Moreno, 19, of 3742 Township Road 120, Dillonvale.

The Newcomerstown Police Department released information Monday stating officers responded to a call at 7:24 a.m. that day reporting an unresponsive man in the front yard of a residence. Police described him as a young adult with a gunshot wound to the back.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

The victim’s name was not immediately released pending positive identification and notification of the family, according to police.

Abdalla said his deputies helped the Tuscarawas County sheriff’s deputies in tracking down the three suspects.

“It was a busy day, but really successful,” Abdalla said.

Abdalla said Tuscarawas County authorities were expected to continue questioning the suspects on Wednesday.
