BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

At 2:32 p.m. Monday, a sergeant responded to an address on Uniontown-Flushing Road, Flushing, for a call from central dispatch stating the fire department was called out for a brush fire and a resident there was getting belligerent with firefighters at the scene. The sergeant advised the resident was burning a couch.

At 2:16 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on Old Moss Road, Bellaire, for a report from a child who got scared over a domestic situation with the family and called 911.

At 1:16 p.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on Homer Reed Road, Barnesville, for a report of 30 cows in the roadway. The owner was located and put the animals away.

At 9:40 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to Awakenings, East Main Street, Belmont, to transport a female to jail at the request of the Northern Division Court judge.

At 7:20 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to an address on National Road, Lansing, for a report of a loose dog that cornered the complainant on a porch.

At 12:15 a.m. Monday, a sergeant responded to an address on Singer Road, St. Clairsville, for a report of a possible vehicle break-in.
