West Liberty University Graduates First Class of MBAs

The inaugural class of graduates from West Liberty University’s Master’s in Business Administration program graduates participated in commencement exercises Saturday.

WLU launched the online degree program in 2016.

“This is our first group of graduates to walk in commencement and we are so proud. Seven of the graduates are from the August class of graduates and eight completed the MBA in December. We wish them luck and happiness as they move on professionally with this master’s degree,” said Gregory Chase, online MBA program director.

Prior to commencement, the graduates enjoyed a special reception in the Alumni Room, where they were presented with memorial gifts to mark their status as the inaugural class.

The first class of MBA graduates includes Billy Apostolon, Karissa Duke, Candace Goines, Caitlyn Moore and Jason Owens, all of Wheeling; Heath Brooks, Samuel Falbo and Ryan Turner of Shadyside; Danielle Gunto of Proctor; Jonathan Hagan and Geoff Lucas of Triadelphia; Stephanie Randolph of Weirton; Christopher Secore of Columbus, Ohio; Ashley Simmons of New Martinsville; and Zachary Smith of Moundsville.

The MBA represents a milestone for the university, since it is the first program specifically designed to be 100-percent online.
