BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
At 9:46 a.m. Thursday, a Pease Township trustee requested a check at a residence surrounded by garbage on Handel Street, Bridgeport. A deputy arrived and found that it was already cleaned up, according to the report.
At 1:38 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Interstate 70 at mile marker 202 in Kirkwood Township to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop. The deputy advised drugs were recovered, according to the report.
At 7:57 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from the Department of Children and Family Services in Florida requested a deputy perform a welfare check on a child at a residence on Colerain Pike. A deputy did so, and the child was fine, according to the report.
At 3:27 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from Golf Course Road, Beallsville, came to the station to report her mother may have been scammed by someone claiming to be from Publisher’s Clearinghouse.
